I've also wiped the motor down with a microfiber cloth and oiled it 3-in-1 oil. The new wire is attached with crimped barrel connectors and insulated adhesive-lined heat-shrink tubing. Runs very smoothly. Be smart, don't run this on a non-GFCI circuit.

I've replaced the plug and twisted wire with modern, Rayon-covered, 18 gauge wiring a two prong connector. I don't know when this was manufactured, but the two patent numbers refer to patents filed in 1928 and 1930. Specifications from the nameplate: model Number: 5KH23AA103. Time Rating: Continuous.

The original power cord was badly frayed and the plug broken. No other reconditioning has been done and the vintaGe patina is intact.
